Favorite Lip Products for Spring

Every Spring, I feel the need to spice up my makeup routine a little bit.  Just like with my winter wardrobe, the winter weather, and the winter landscape, I start feeling like it's all a bit "drab," and I need something bright and happy in my life!  I recently picked out a few favorite lip products to add a spark to my spring makeup routine!  YSL are my all-time favorite lip products, and I have several, but the above are my favorites.  I will layer the nude gloss over any of my lipsticks, and the oil lip glosses are THE BEST.  They smell amazing, and add a non-sticky colored gloss with lasting color, even after the gloss has worn off.  I also picked up two Lancome lip products, and was so pleasantly surprised!  And as I posted before, I really love the pH sensitive lipstick from Flirt Cosmetics because the green color changes into the perfect magenta pink for your skin tone!

What are your favorite lip products?  Do tell!  I'm always interested in trying new ones!

Flirt Cosmetics Lip pHetish Lipstick

FLIRT  lip pHetish Lipstick c/o // Notebook: Kate Spade

Ever since I was a pre-teen, I've always loved collecting lip products.  Although my interests have changed significantly in that area since I was twelve (who remembers the Lip Smackers and way-over-glittery glosses in the kid cosmetics aisle?!), I still find a good lip product incredibly fun.  Since I wear scrubs all day long, my "girly girl" comes out in my jewelry and makeup.  Flirt Cosmetics sent me these adorable, fun, yet totally-wearable lipsticks to try out!  When I first opened them, I was a bit dubious... green?  blue?  How on earth is this going to look good on me?  However, these lip colors instantly morph into beautiful shades of pink, coral, and berry based on the pH in your lips.  And as a medical professional, I also found that kind of fascinating (nerd alert).  My favorite of the three is actually the green which is shown in the picture above: it turned into a beautiful bright pink that made me excited for spring!  Check them out HERE.
