My Favorite Smoothie

I love making smoothies!  A few years ago, I bought a little personal smoothie blender, and let me just say it has gotten quite a bit of use!  I've played with different smoothie recipes depending on what I happen to have in my fridge/freezer.  I've tried adding anything from kale to peanut butter to oats, but I think my favorite is the one above.  I like to buy fresh fruit and make my own frozen smoothie blends.  I simply wash, slice, and freeze in plastic bags.  Perfect for smoothie-making in a pinch!

Berry Mango Yogurt Smoothie:
-Vanilla or Plain Greek Yogurt
-A handful of frozen strawberries
-A small handful of frozen blueberries
-A small handful of frozen mango
-Add orange juice and 3-4 ice cubes

Blend well, add a cute straw, and voila!  It tastes fantastic!

Life Lately

It's been awhile since I've done a Life Lately post!  The last few weeks have been busy, continuing with setting up house, working hard, and dealing with an unexpected problem with my shoulder.  I can't believe the summer is already wrapping up, and the kiddos are heading back to school!  In some ways it makes me excited as I love autumn, but it also makes me sad to see summer leaving.  I love summer and the long, sunny days.  This summer has been so busy with moving and a new job and settling in, that I feel like I blinked and it just passed by!  Anyway, a little of life lately below:

I recently started my own study of the Proverbs 31 woman.  I suppose I had never thought too much beyond the surface of it in the past, but I started taking a deeper look at it, and applying it to my own life.  I started a notebook, taking it verse by verse, and exploring what it means for me where I'm at in life currently.  It's been a blessing!

I finally purchased some shelving (which I put together myself... so proud) for my shoes, and found some lovely navy and gold velvet hangers and storage boxes.  My closet is finally coming together, and I LOVE that I can see everything now!  It gives my wardrobe a whole new fresh look!

I'm truly enjoying this devotional, "The Christian History Devotional".  Each day is about a historical Christian and details we may or may not have known about them.  I took some time this Friday night to re-focus and let the stress of life go!  The lavender body oil is amazing too for helping in relaxation!

I started a little tradition of getting donuts on Sunday mornings.  I like this tradition!

I am SO excited about the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale starting tomorrow at 8AM!  It runs through Tuesday till midnight, and this year is supposed to be the best!  They only have two sales a year, so I always plan ahead and save for them.  For instance, I've been selling things on Ebay for months in preparation for it!  I built a nice little savings up for it, and have a lovely little wish list going.  I'm hoping to snag a pair of Callahan shorts, an Essie top, an Elsa top, and a dress or two.  I'm always on the hunt for some fun accessories too!  I can't wait to see what the sale holds tomorrow!

In The Kitchen

I've slowly been settling into my new house, and I'm in complete home-maker mode right now!  I've been looking for the perfect set of dishes for some time, and when I saw these, I fell madly in love.  The beautiful blue design, the teacups instead of mugs, and each dish has a different British Castle on it.  I love the old-world feel, and they match my kitchen style perfectly!  I have started to collect copper pieces (starting with this beautiful copper tea kettle), and these dishes complement them so well!  I also found these gorgeous Blue Italian Spode (by Portmerion- I LOVE all things Portmerion) tea spoons and cake knife to add to the mix.  I just love the whole style and love using each piece!

All About Lemons

Lemon Dress: eShakti (similar)// Necklace: Kate Spade//Bracelet: Banana Republic//
Wedges: TJ Maxx

I absolutely adore this dress.  It is SO comfortable and light- perfect for summer- and the lemon print is absolutely perfect.  I'm a sucker for novelty prints, and for some reason, I have started a collection of citrus prints.  This is by far one of my favorite summer dresses!
